I always knew Heather & Gavin’s wedding was going to be special. The invite said “Come prepared for adventure” and the subtitle of the day was “A glorious shambles”. It’s not every day you photograph a marriage by a ruined castle on a tiny island off the west coast of Scotland. Not every wedding involves a day’s journey to get nearby, a ferry ride, a Landrover journey over very bumpy tracks and a walk down a glen to the sea. But as you can see from these preview photos, the effort by all the intrepid guests was well, well worthwhile. The weather was glorious during the ceremony which was beautiful with its full family participation and spiritual depth. It started to pour with rain as we entered the marina for the reception, though that didn’t dampen spirits. What a day!

I'm delighted this wedding was featured on English Wedding Blog.
